Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Agreement

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the Teleporter document sharing daemon ("Teleporter"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any portion of these terms, you are prohibited from using the service.

2. Acceptable Use & Prohibitions

Teleporter is designed for the lawful sharing, viewing, and transmission of documents, manuscripts, research papers, data sheets, code assets, and media. You agree NOT to use Teleporter to upload, transmit, or store:

• Malicious software, trojans, viruses, ransomware, or exploits designed to compromise computer systems.
• Material that infringes upon copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or proprietary rights of any third party.
• Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, or sexually explicit content.
• Automated bot traffic designed to exhaust server bandwidth or circumvent rate limiting guardrails.

3. Ephemeral Architecture & Data Deletion Policies

Teleporter operates as an ephemeral transmission relay, NOT a permanent archival or cloud backup repository. All uploaded files, manuscripts, and media are subject to automated, irreversible deletion under the following conditions:

• Scheduled Expiration: Files are purged automatically upon reaching their designated ticket expiration (from 1 day up to 30 days based on active Karma tier).
• Manual Author Purge: Uploaders may manually purge any active dispatch ticket at any time from their local Dispatch Log, instantly destroying the Cloudflare R2 storage object and database record.
• High-Watermark Proactive Eviction (≥85% Pool Capacity): When total server storage reaches 8.5 GB (85% of the 10.0 GB free-tier allocation), the automated cleanup daemon aggressively purges all expired tickets to maintain buffer headroom.
• Emergency LRU Capacity Eviction (≥98% Extreme Saturation): Under extreme traffic surges where the 10.0 GB storage pool approaches 98% saturation (>9.8 GB) and no expired tickets remain, the system automatically executes Least Recently Used (LRU) self-healing eviction on the oldest unpinned tickets (uploaded >24 hours ago) to prevent total platform lockup.
• Irreversibility: Once deleted via scheduled expiration, author purge, or capacity eviction, files are permanently erased from R2 object storage with zero recovery or undelete capabilities. Always maintain local copies of critical data.

4. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

The service is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. In no event shall Teleporter, its maintainers, or its host providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from data loss, premature LRU eviction, link expiration, server downtime, or unauthorized access.

5. Termination & Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify storage quotas, validity tiers, rate limiting thresholds, and emergency eviction parameters or terminate service availability at our discretion to preserve platform integrity and protect the global relay from abuse.
